Evangelism - the ability to readily share the gospel with unbelievers in such a way that men and women often become Jesus’ disciples and responsible members of the Body of Christ.
All Christians are called to share the gospel of Christ with unbelievers, but those who have been given the gift of evangelism tend to be more sensitive to when others are ready to receive Christ. They have the ability to insert spiritual truths into normal conversation and the ability to sense the timing of when to do so. They have a special way of adapting their message to meet the listener where they are - whether they are acquaintances or strangers. They are sincere, confident and respectful in their conversations and are often successful in leading others to Christ.
Paul calls us to be evangelists in 2 Timothy 4:2-5
"Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction. For the time will come when men will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths. But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry."
